If you approach me wanting star status overnight I will probably turn you down. Any publicist claiming to have a magic wand that will produce media euphoria at random probably hasn't been in this industry for very long.

There has to be a reason in the first place for seeking a personal publisist. Usually It's when things have already started to move up to the next level for an actor, performer or model. In other words there is something of substance to write about. If there is nothing going on there is no hook to create interest with press radio or television.

An established actor, model or performer usually seeks the service of a reputable publisist during a project that needs attention. That doesn't mean to say a newcomer is undermined for as long as their project is interesting enough to entice editors and writers to want to cover it.

Most major projects have their own PR department that will do all they can to promote a movie, show or product and it's prominent performers. The role of an experienced personal publicist is to determine whether an actor has a considerable hook to merit extra exposure.

It makes sense to work along side PR persons that are promoting a show or a movie a client is involved in and a good personal publicist will do his homework to avoid friction. A new model or actor may require coaching to deal with tabloid press conferences specially concerning contriversial topics.

Promoting ones art is paramount rather than exposing unnecessary personal stories but it's inevitable that the interest in an artist will escalate the more popular he becomes. It is best to be prepared for anything.

It's bad practice to continually pester any sort of media, they know their job and they are under no obligation to cover a story, no matter how interesting you think it is.

Timing plays a big part in a press release and I have often held back on release dates when other major news were making the headilnes. A serious publicist will be aware of what's going on around him.

News and events

To capture images that portray current breaking news requires years of experience and foresight. The art of being at the right place at the right time becomes a natural instinct and is an area of photography that has a cutting edge like no other.

We have had the privilege of building a healthy rapport amongst many celebrities and people in the spotlight over the years and pride ourselves in our conduct and respect towards them. Our way of working has proved fruitful and has helped us obtain images that are one step ahead.

Speed is the essence to land pictures on a news desk almost simultaneously as far as current affairs are concerned so there is no room for conflict with photographic subjects. To be able to strike instant ttrusting relationships with people you are dealing with is paramount.

East Anglia has a wealth of celebrity retreats and events that feature personalities, state figures and everyday people. All assignments are of equal importance as far as I’m concerned and our enthusiasm to capture a newsworthy image never wavers, whether we are photographing a Rock Star or a village character.

The images displayed here are a small example that are available for newspapers, magazines, PR and television companies.
