Former Miss Norwich, Rebecca Jane Richardson, has clinched another prestigious title as Miss Yamaha Racing. The Norfolk stunner impressed the Yamaha Racing panel visitors and so snapped up the win together with Kaliegh Fabien. The beauty duo were chosen to represent the Yamaha WSB team on the grid for the 2009 WSB round at Donington.
Beckie Jane entered the international glamour arena a couple of years ago when she was sponsered by Andreas Yaisimi of Amber Models photography to enter the Norwich heat of Miss England. Beckie started her inevitable road to popularity after the Miss Norwich win and since has worked with photographers across the country. The Yamaha Racing title was something Beckie always wanted "For the past year I have been addicted to to going to car and bike shows, I can't get enough" siad Beckie "I have always been a fan of Yamaha Racing.com and so I'm thrilled to get this! I was actually shocked to win because I entered only three days before"
It's not always been a bed of roses for Beckie and she emphasized how hard it is in the industry "It's ok if you have the openings and an element of luck but I consider myself the typical girl next door type, usually the middle of the road lasses like myself don't get the same opportunity living here so this means a lot to me" Beckie also said that modelling is much harder than people think consisting of sheer determination and stamina to cope with demanding schedules and long hours.
The Amber Models photography camp were delighted with the outcome and put the win down to Beckies self belief and motivation "I deal with some amazing people" explained Mr Yiasimi "I can promote to a certain degree but it is also up to the models initiative to grab an opportunity when they see it, in an age of increasing self promotion i am here to guide and act as publicist to many of the artists I deal with"
The Miss Yamaha Racing win is certainly putting North Norfolk on the map and has catapulted Beckie Jane into the National media limelight "I love all the attention" said Beckie "It is essential to keep your feet on the ground though. The main thing is to stay focused on reality in order to move successfully on"
Beckie was enthused by how helpful the team at Yamaha Racing were "Everyone was an absolute delight to work with" said Beckie "I felt like one of the family" A resident professional photographer was at hand to snap Beckie in a classic Yamaha Racing umbrella shot with potential super racing heartthrob, Ben Steve.
