Norfolk beauty, Nakita Ramos, was thrown into the international spotlight of the unexpected kind when a spooky face was spotted in one of her photographs taken outside the Hotel de Paris in Cromer. During the usual selection process lens man, Andreas Yiasimi, noticed a strange glow of light near the models face so decided to blow the image up on the computer to see if he can remove it. It was only then he noticed a ladies face gazing from one of hotel windows ‘It looked strange’ said Andreas “At first I thought nothing of it until someone said it looked Victorian then that’s when the interest started and it hasn’t stopped since”
The photograph was sent to paranormal investigator, David Clipsom, who runs Ghost Hunters New Zealand. David then instructed Andreas to ask Hotel personnel if people were staying there during the time the picture was taken, if the person in the window was an employee or known to the hotel “All possibilities must be considered” David had worked at the hotel when he lived in Cromer and knew of strange unexplainable instances.
After referring with Hotel manager, Lucas Jans, Andreas confirmed that indeed guests were staying but also another member of staff said decorators were working and some of the rooms were empty, so the photograph was debunked. “Ghost hunts are held here on a regular basis” explained Lucas “The hotel has a history of being haunted so this is nothing new”
Since then despite the photograph being passed as normal it continues to fascinate everyone that sees it “I have taken hundreds of photographs over the years” said Andreas “Nothing has ever caused this much euphoria, even though there may be a feasible explanation the whole thing looks quite spooky. I have taken all this with a pinch of salt right from the start but the picture seems to freak people out”
Hotel de Paris has a maze of underground cellars that have been compared with horror movie ‘Return to House on Haunted Hill’ and a ghost hunt may be on the cards soon when David visits Norfolk. Andreas has been invited together with a reporter and TV company that are intrigued with the photograph and the subject in general.
Nakita Ramos from Amber Models UK is taking everything in her stride and concentrating on her modeling for now “It’s amazing” said Nakita “It’s the last thing I expected to get published for” Nakita may also be invited to make up the volunteers to stay the night in what is hailed to be Norfolk’s most haunted hotel.
